Panchayat

A Panchayat is an assembly of elected public representatives established to manage the administrative affairs of Panchayat Raj institutions. In relation to a Gram Panchayat, it is the main committee that implements the decisions of the Gram Sabha and conducts daily administration. The main components of a Panchayat are President: The head of the Panchayat. Presides over meetings and oversees the overall functioning of the Panchayat. Vice President: Takes on responsibilities in the absence of the President. Ward Members: Public representatives elected from each ward of the Panchayat. Standing Committees: Formed for matters such as finance, development, welfare, health, and education to facilitate the decisions of the Panchayat
